We decided from the beginning to take an independent approach to home care. We're not interested in creating an illusion of size by joining a franchise organization. We have no desire to be the biggest - just the absolute best.

We carefully hand pick only those individuals who display the spirit required and the attitude necessary to effectively help our clients. Our people are personable, upbeat, compassionate professionals who are passionate about helping others in need.

We Employ Our Caregivers
The independent contractor approach that many companies use can provide cheaper service fees but it also can put a client at risk. By employing our caregivers, we alleviate any and all payroll tax, worker injury and supervision concerns. The employment approach is clearly in the best interest of the client.

A Professional Approach
We are fully insured with professional and general liability insurance. All employees go through a very thorough background check. Each employee is bonded at $25,000. You can have peace of mind knowing that we have done our homework before we ever send someone out to provide care to you or a loved one. And when we do send them to your home, the owner is always present to personally introduce the caregiver to the client to ensure that we're getting off on the right foot from the very start.

We Operate as a Team
Although it may only be one caregiver assigned to a particular client, that individual is supported by our whole team. We help each other out to ensure continual coverage for those clients who require such care.

All Work is Owner Supervised
As the team leader, the owner Tom Barton personally oversees all assignments to ensure that each and every client receives superlative service each and every time.

A Family Affair
In addition to Tom, the management team includes his sister, Gerri Tyber, who is the Operations Manager and Tom's wife, Karen, who is the Accounting Manager. All three are totally committed to ensuring that Barton Home Care operates efficiently, effectively and consistently to provide peace of mind to our clients and their families. We don't endure the constant turnover of staff that many other home companies experience - which can result in less-than-perfect service delivery.

It is vitally important for our clients to not only receive top-notch care, but to receive that care from a new-found friend. If we make a bad match, (and we rarely do,) we'll fix it immediately. You'll never be put in an awkward situation.
